Accessibility Statement
At Yachting Soul, we are committed to ensuring the accessibility of our website and digital services to all users, including people with disabilities.
Our goal is to offer an inclusive, simple, and usable browsing experience for as many people as possible, regardless of their abilities, the technologies used, or the devices they use to access the site. For this reason, we are constantly working to improve the accessibility of our website by identifying and fixing any barriers that could hinder content viewing, navigation, and product purchases.
Technologies used
The accessibility of the www.yachting-soul.com website is based on the following technologies, used in combination with web browsers and any assistive technologies installed on users' devices:
- HTML
- WAI-ARIA
- CSS
- JavaScript
The site is developed on the Shopify platform and uses native platform components, theme customizations, and third-party services.
Accessibility standards
The Yachting Soul website has undergone accessibility improvements based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, and related digital accessibility principles.
The WCAG guidelines are based on four fundamental principles:
- Perceivable: information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive, including through assistive technology.
- Operable: user interface components and navigation must be operable using different interaction modes, including via keyboard.
- Understandable: information and the operation of the user interface must be clear, predictable, and easy to interpret.
- Robust: content must be compatible with a wide range of browsers, devices, and assistive technologies.
Yachting Soul is committed to maintaining and progressively improving the accessibility of the site, in line with technological and regulatory developments.
Compliance status
The Yachting Soul website has been subject to accessibility verification and improvement activities, through automated and manual checks conducted on a representative sample of the main pages and functionalities.
At the end of the checks carried out, no residual automated critical issues were detected on the pages and interface states subjected to the final scans with axe DevTools, in accordance with WCAG 2.1 level AA.
Manual tests were also carried out on various site functionalities, with positive results under the conditions examined. These results provide positive feedback on the accessibility level of the analyzed components, but do not constitute certification of full compliance for the entire site.
The overall assessment of compliance remains subject to further verification of content, dynamic components, and external integrations that were not exhaustively examined.
Verification methodology
This statement was prepared on October 9, 2026, based on the accessibility checks performed on that same date. The analysis was performed on a sample of the main pages and functionalities of the site, using a combination of automated tools and manual checks.
Automated checks
Scans were performed using axe DevTools, using the standard WCAG 2.1 AA rules and available advanced rules.
The checks covered:
- Homepage, in desktop and mobile versions.
- Collection pages and related product cards.
- Product detail pages.
- Navigation menus and submenus.
- Cart drawer.
- Cart page.
- Shopify checkout.
- Search panel.
- Cookie consent banner.
- About page.
The critical issues identified during the analysis were examined and, where possible, corrected by modifying the theme or its settings.
The final scans of the pages and states verified showed no residual automated errors.
Manual checks
Automated checks were supplemented with manual tests aimed at evaluating the actual behavior of the site's main functionalities.
Checks were performed regarding:
- Keyboard navigation: verification of the ability to reach and use links, menus, buttons, selectors, and other interactive elements.
- Assistive technologies: use of VoiceOver to verify the reading of content and interaction with the main components.
- Content magnification: verification of browser zoom at 200%, checking the readability and usability of the elements.
- Mobile navigation: verification of the behavior of the main components through mobile device simulation and manual checks.
- Variant selection: verification of the use of size selectors via keyboard.
- Cart interactions: verification of product addition, navigation, and main cart functionalities.
- Checkout: verification of fields and navigation via keyboard, VoiceOver, and magnification.
- Expandable components: check of the ability to open, close, and use menus and accordion sections.
The manual checks performed yielded positive results for the functionalities and conditions tested.
Improvement interventions carried out
During the accessibility review, several critical issues were identified and corrected. The interventions specifically concerned:
Navigation and interaction
The accessibility of the main navigation has been improved, allowing submenus to be opened via keyboard interaction.
Search functionalities, mobile menus, product variant selectors, and the main interactive components have also been verified.
Content structure
The semantic structure of the headings has been improved in various sections of the site, including product cards, information blocks, the footer, and some text sections. The interventions were aimed at making the organization of content more recognizable, including via assistive technologies.
Color contrast
Some color combinations that presented insufficient contrast have been corrected, modifying buttons, secondary text, cart elements, and content overlaid on images. The changes were made while striving to preserve the Yachting Soul visual identity.
Images and sliding components
The accessibility mechanisms of some sliding components and the product image gallery have been improved, making them reachable via keyboard. Management of alternative texts for elements identified during the analysis has also been improved.
Cart and free shipping progress
The contrast of some cart elements and the accessible identification of the free shipping progress bar have been improved.
Magnification and display
Some settings have been updated to allow for correct content magnification and to improve the use of the site on different screen sizes.
Inaccessible content and limitations
Despite the interventions carried out, some functionalities and content of the site may present accessibility limitations not revealed during the checks conducted. The main areas subject to further checks and improvements are as follows.
Content and images
The site contains product images, promotional images, and visual content that may be updated over time. Although the elements identified during the checks were corrected, it cannot be excluded that new content or content not included in the analyzed sample may present missing or insufficiently descriptive alternative texts.
Yachting Soul is committed to paying attention to the accessibility of published content and to making the necessary corrections if further critical issues are identified.
Third-party functionalities and applications
Some site functionalities are based on services and applications developed by external providers, including the e-commerce platform, checkout services, and tools for managing cookie preferences. The behavior of such components may also depend on the updates and implementation methods of the respective providers.
Although the functionalities examined returned positive results in the tests performed, it is not possible to guarantee that every future update or configuration will maintain the same level of accessibility. Yachting Soul is committed to monitoring any reported issues and collaborating, where necessary, with the relevant providers.
Compatibility with assistive technologies
Manual checks included tests with VoiceOver and keyboard navigation. However, not all possible combinations of operating systems, browsers, devices, and assistive technologies were exhaustively examined. Consequently, differences in behavior may occur in configurations not directly tested.
Future updates
The site is subject to continuous changes and updates, including new products, content, features, and integrations. Any updates could introduce new accessibility issues. For this reason, Yachting Soul is committed to carrying out further checks and corrective interventions when necessary.
Commitment to continuous improvement
We consider digital accessibility to be a process of continuous improvement. Our commitment includes focusing on content readability, keyboard navigation, the use of assistive technologies, and the usability of main purchasing functions. Any issues reported by users will be evaluated to identify possible solutions and progressively improve the browsing experience.
